Just passing along some news quickly.
Its finally confirmed that, following the finale of "Power Rangers RPM", there will be no new season of PR in 2010.
HOWEVER, we are getting new OLD PR in 2010.
"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers", remastered, will be airing on ABC Kids in 2010.
That's right, Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Billy, Trini and Tommy are back on TV (and a new toyline as well.)

Given the fact that they are going to the trouble of remastering the episodes and releasing a new toy line (and this IS new. Not a rehash of the old toyline), I would guess that we will be seeing all the eps. Plus, since this is the ONLY PR on the air next year, I would think they would be taking full advantage.
Whether this is going beyond the first season, I don't know.

With all they are going through in terms of remastering the old eps, and releasing new toys and such, I have a hard time seeing this as slot filler. To me, it seems like Disney is actually trying to keep the franchise going in some form. Rather then adapt Shinkenger (the current Sentai), and go through the costs of hiring a new cast, and all the other aspects of production, they just clean up episodes that are already in the can and present them to a target audience that has more then likely never seen MMPR before. If this does well, I honestly could see them continuing with this game plan. It would certainly be cheaper then producing a truly NEW season.
Like I said though, we'll have a much clearer picture of what to expect the closer we get to January 2010.
